Recording notes on guitar, piano and banjo from a working teacher and producer

Copyright and Takedown Requests

What this site is

Everything on prestantiamusic.com is written by me. The lessons, the plugin notes, the recording write-ups, the guitar and piano pieces, all of it. I am one person who teaches instruments and records them, and the words here come out of that work. I hold the copyright on this text and on any audio or images I have made for it. If you believe something here belongs to you, tell me and I will look at it properly.

How to report one specific URL

Be precise. Send me the exact address of the page you are concerned about, copied from your browser, not the name of the site or a general section. If the same material appears on several pages, list each address. I cannot act on a description of a problem. I need the location of it.

What your notice needs to contain

Your notice should include the following, and it should be clear enough that I can verify it without guessing.

First, identify the work you own, with enough detail that I can find it, such as a title, a publication date, or a link to where you published it. Second, give me the URL on my site where you believe your work appears. Third, tell me how to reach you: your name, your email, and a mailing address. Fourth, state plainly that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law. Fifth, state that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them. Sixth, sign it.

If a notice is incomplete I will reply and ask for the missing part rather than ignore it.

What happens next

When a valid notice arrives I act on it promptly. In most cases that means removing or disabling the page while I check the claim, and I would rather take something down for a day than leave a genuine problem sitting there. I will confirm to you when I have done it.

If you think I have got it wrong, you are welcome to write to me and explain. I read everything myself.

Where to send it

Use the contact page on this site. That is the reliable route and it reaches me directly. Put copyright in the subject line so it does not get lost among lesson questions.
